Apache

Right now, Apache is still a bit green. Still reliable and a very quick study.  He flexes and gives his head easily on the ground and under the saddle - both directions.  He’s good on the trails and pretty much goes where you point him. His gait transitions are already excellent, going smoothly from walk to trot, from trot to canter and back again easily.  He stands nicely to park for mounting, but still needs a little reminding to stay put until cued to walk on.

On the ground, he’s respectful and easy to catch with grain, and he keeps getting better and better as he learns how much he likes to be around people.  He’s had some great exposure to noise and crowds when we took him to the Chuckwagon races this last summer.
All in all, if you’re looking for a really nice john mule who could be a ranch hand, trail ride or English prospect, and have the skills to offer Apache the saddle time and wet blankets it takes to become “finished” you could be in for a once in a lifetime mule!
